Founders Mike Tayloe, Randy Manning, Tim Hartman and Randy Cross worked together for a national building materials supplier for nine years. Observing that corporate issues seemed to take precedence over customer and employee care, these four men determined that there was a better way to do business and formed Mile High Trim Company in April 2001. Twenty-seven employees agreed with their business philosophy and joined MHTC immediately.
Today, Mile High Trim Company operates an 80,000 square foot warehouse in Aurora, designing custom door and millwork products, specializing in interior and exterior doors, moulding and stair parts. We stock more than $1 million dollars of inventory, and purchase over a quarter million dollars of custom special order inventory every month.
Committed to the design industry, MHTC opened The Design Center at the Denver Design District in 2006 – a 2,500 square foot showroom featuring doors, stair parts, moulding, shelving, hardware, windows and other custom materials. The Design Center is the only showroom of its kind in Denver and is fast becoming the one-stop resource for interior designers, architects and custom homebuilders.
Mile High Trim Company’s core values consist of five principles:

We are committed to our clients and vendors, with 85% of our original vendors still vendors today. We are also committed to the community. To date, MHTC has donated materials and labor on dozens of projects for the Home Builders Foundation (the philanthropic arm of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver), as well as projects for HomeAid Colorado.

Mike has contributed to the betterment of home building and communities in the metro Denver area for many years. He has served on the Associate Member Council of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver for four years, and is now serving as the chairman of the 2008 council. He also serves on the executive board of directors for the HBA, and received the HBA’s 2007 Volunteer of the Year award. Mike is responsible for business development of the residential and commercial departments at MHTC.

Randy Manning,
Vice President
Randy brings 30 years of construction industry experience in sales and customer service to his position as vice president of MHTC. He oversees the day-to-day operations of production at Mile High Trim Company’s 80,000 square foot warehouse, and management of the office staff. He is also the point person for customer service and quality control for the company’s residential construction clients, as well as overseeing the commercial department’s sales and service.
